Lotteries and UEFA: working together to support the game
The UEFA Intertoto Cup is a between-seasons competition for clubs ranked directly below those that qualify for the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Cup.
The competition will be open to 49 clubs. The 11 victorious teams which qualify for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Cup and subsequently go furthest in the competition each receive a UEFA Intertoto Cup trophy.
It provides attractive fixtures for lotteries wishing to run an uninterrupted year-round sports betting programme for their players, with much of the lottery profits going to amateur and grassroots football.
